Successful Collaboration

Since Xmas, Why Don’t We has been working with Radio 119 and Bradford College to improve our already popular Disability Hate Crime presentation. In the mornings, we worked with the Radio 119 team and then went up to the college and shared our work with Level 2 Health and Social Care students.

The ideas and suggestions that came out of these suggestions were fantastic. We made new recordings of real stories, tweaked old ones and added subtitles. We also changed the running order to make the presentation even clearer.

The proof was in the presenting and three of the 119 team presented the new format to a group of Level 1 students with the support of tow of the level threes. Here is some of their feedback:

“The presentation was effective because it showed us that we need to raise awareness so people can take action”.

“Brilliant, no improvement needed”.

One of the tutors commented:

“Stuart Alan & Chris’ shared experiences really impacts on you and really brings it home”.
