What We Do
Why Don’t We offers a range of creative opportunities which enable adults with learning difficulties to express themselves and tackle issues affecting their lives.
Why Don’t We is a small charity, which runs weekly groups for adults with learning difficulties. We use a wide range of media such as art, photography, video making and sound recording to enable their voices to be heard clearly.
We not only provide a supportive environment in which our participants can develop skills, but actively seek opportunities in which they can contribute to the wider community.
Examples of recent projects are:
· working with the Police and Crime Commissioner on disability hate crime
· helping to raise awareness at Bradford College about disability discrimination
